Christopher was born and raised in Charleston, SC. He has always had a heart for helping people overcome difficulty in their lives as this is part of his own story. In 2003 he received his Bachelor of Science from Charleston Southern University while studying Psychology and Youth Ministry. Shortly thereafter he became a transplant to Virginia. In 2012 after completing his own healing journey, he started pursuing his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. His professional journey in the helping profession started just before graduating in 2015 while interning for a nonprofit ministry and a small counseling center in Virginia Beach, VA. He continued with these counseling ministries after graduation. In 2017 his focus shifted and he began seeking Licensure as a counselor and marriage and family therapist. He began partnering with a local church to start and operate their counseling ministry as a Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy/ Counseling. In 2019 Elevate Counseling and Coaching, Inc. was founded where he continued to see individuals, couples, and families in need.
Currently, while working to expand Elevate’s reach and opportunities to help those in need in the area he has transitioned to focusing on building the business side of things and Coaching. As a Coach he works with individuals, couples, groups, and sometimes families to help them with difficult life transitions or self-improvement using the tools he has acquired over the years. Most of his coaching involves working with individuals for life, career and enneagram coaching; couples for relational and premarital coaching; and he also sometimes work with groups or teams to help them build trust, cohesiveness or tackle a similar problem.
Throughout his career, he has helped his clients break through the obstacles that held them back in life. By asking the right questions and empowering them with the proper tools and techniques, he helped his clients take action in pursuit of their goals and ambitions. He truly cares for all of his clients, and works diligently to help them find the answers they seek. Whatever your needs, he looks forward to working with you to implement a plan to help you successfully meet your goals and live your best life.

Jack has over 40 years of experience in the helping profession, both as a counselor and a supervisor to counselors. He completed his Master of Science in Education in 1976 at Old Dominion University. He worked over 30 years for the City of Virginia Beach as a Counselor, Supervisor, and Clinical Supervisor. He has experience with individuals, couples, and groups helping them through all kinds of problems using various treatment modalities and techniques. Jack has been involved with several different organizations throughout his career. He was the President for the Virginia Association of Treatment and Recovery Programs and has sat on the Executive Boards for the Virginia Counselor Association and the Virginia Association of Addiction Professionals. He has worked with the Virginia Summer Institute for Addiction Studies as a Faculty Member and has helped several residents and supervisees obtain licensure and certification as LPC’s, LMFT’s, ad CSAC’s. Jack is currently overseeing all the clinical work at Elevate Counseling and Coaching as well as working with other organizations providing individual and group supervision for licensure and certification for LPC, LMFT, and CSAC.

Norine is a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Licensed Resident in Counseling specializing in Addiction. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from Norfolk State University in 2001; Masters of Science in Criminal Justice from Troy State University in 2009; Masters of Science in Education and Mental Health Counseling from University of the Southwest in 2017; and her PhD. in Philosophy and Counseling from Northeastern University in 2019.
Norine throughout her career has worked in diversified settings such as Community Mental Health, Juvenile Counseling, Care Management, and Primary Care. She employs various therapeutic modalities and techniques based on her client’s needs. She has experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Theory, Person Centered Therapy, Gestalt, and trauma informed work. Her diverse background has led to increased understanding of different socioeconomic backgrounds and their complexities. She is culturally sensitive and works with all people regardless of culture, orientation, gender, or identity. Her clinical experience includes working predominantly with adults, ranging from young adults to senior citizens. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, substance use recovery (inclusive of co-occurring mental health & substance use conditions), interpersonal relationship issues, personal identity issues, and adjustment to chronic medical conditions. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with vulnerable populations impacted by the criminal justice system.
Her approach focuses on helping individuals in having hope and belief in the knowledge that they can live a life of fulfillment and contentment. As a therapist she value’s self-exploration, collaboration, and finding one’s inner strength which help create a safe space that will allow individuals to feel accepted and heard, while simultaneously being challenged to develop healthy coping skills. Collaboratively, she will build upon your unique set of strengths to empower you on your path to happiness and wellness. She will draw upon different approaches tailored to your individuality.
